Healthy Teen Scholars
High school youth enrolled in our DC public school system who are interested in health careers are the main focus of this service project. Based at Eastern High School, ISCOPES students and these high school youth will tag team on lunch & learns, health career nights, GW campus visits, community outreach, and adolescent health issues. Availability to Serve at Sites*
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM or 2:15 PM - 4:30 PM
*The time commitment (an average of 12 hours per month) includes time spent in weekly team meetings, ISCOPES Large Group Trainings, and service at Partner Sites (commute time not included). Students who are interested in being a part of this Learning Community should be available to serve at site once/month (at minimum). The following times listed above are based on preferred availability established by community partners. However, these times are subject to expand based on team availability.
